Psychology is the study of the mind and its behaviors and emotions. It is a very popular undergraduate major, and it provides specific instruction in such topics as cognitive development, research methods, statistics and data interpretation, family counseling and pharmacology. A bachelor's degree in General Psychology will not qualify students to work as psychologists, but is useful in that it leads to other careers.
